Information Regarding our Community

The Sabin City Council’s general meeting is on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. unless other wise posted in the city office (located in the community center). Posting are at the Post Office and the city hall window.

The city office is open every Monday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30
p.m. & Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (excluding federal holidays).

If you have a new home built in Sabin there is a $15.00 water connection fee, a $15.00 sewer connection fee and a $250 water meter charge.

Utility bills are sent out around the 1st of the month and are due by the 25th of the month. Your water rate is $39.34 for your first 1,000 gallons and $5.00 per 1,000 gallons of water after that each month. Your garbage rate is $14.66 each month. Your sewer rate is $19.00 each month. There is a $1.43 “waste” tax charge per month. There is a “drop box” for payments located below the city office window.
On line payments are also accepted by clicking the box in the left margin.

Garbage is picked up every Friday (excluding major holidays) by Fuchs Sanitation. You are allowed two (2) 30 gallon sized containers at this fee. Extra container “tags” can be purchased at the Sabin C-Store for $1.00.

The city of Sabin is covered by three (3) school districts; Moorhead, Barnesville and Dilworth.

There is a recycling center that is open every Monday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday’s from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

There is a volunteer 1st responder Rescue Squad in
Sabin that meet on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00.

There is a volunteer Fire District in Sabin that meet for training on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month.

Burning or yard waste is permissible within the city limits by permit. Permits are $25.00 per year and can be purchased from Randy Schmidt, Fire Chief, or at the fire hall on training nights.

The Sabin Community Center is available to rent for wedding reception/dances, anniversary parties, meetings, etc. Please call the office for rates.
